Rainbows Fountain has successfully completed the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the Central Hail District Fountain, a large-scale interactive fountain project in Ha’il, Saudi Arabia. Officially opened on October 28, 2026, the project forms a key feature of the Central Hail District Development, bringing a distinctive landscape fountain attraction to the city's renewed urban center in support of Saudi Vision 2030.
A Landmark Feature of Hail's Urban Redevelopment
The Central Hail District Development is a major urban regeneration initiative aimed at enhancing public spaces and creating a more attractive environment for residents and visitors. Covering more than 750,000 m², the wider development features landscaped green spaces, an open-air theater, recreational areas and an interactive fountain area of approximately 12,000 m².
The development is designed to reconnect key areas of the city and improve accessibility through upgraded public spaces and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. Plans include approximately 12 km of walkways, 6 km of cycling paths and the planting of around 3,000 trees, creating a greener and more connected urban environment.
As one of the development's key attractions, the Central Hail District Fountain combines dynamic water effects, colorful lighting and interactive fountain displays. Its integration with the surrounding landscape creates a distinctive waterscape experience and a new visual focal point for the urban environment.
Fountain Design and Project Highlights
Rainbows Fountain provided a comprehensive fountain solution featuring approximately 1,500 fountain lights, Vario Jets and Dancing Digital Jets. These components work together to create diverse water patterns and coordinated visual effects.
The fountain layout complements the district's circular landscape design, with the central water feature and surrounding fountain displays forming a coordinated visual composition. Linear fountain elements extend through the landscaped areas, connecting the water features with nearby pathways and public spaces.
With programmable water movements and colorful illumination, the fountain delivers changing visual scenes throughout the day and evening. During the daytime, the surrounding area offers an inviting public space for walking and relaxation. After sunset, illuminated water effects create a more dynamic atmosphere, adding visual appeal to the district and enriching the experience for residents and visitors.
From Equipment Installation to System Commissioning
Rainbows Fountain undertook the fountain project's design, equipment manufacturing, on-site installation and commissioning, providing an integrated engineering service from initial planning to final operation.
The project involved coordinated work across fountain engineering, equipment manufacturing, on-site installation, electrical connections and control system integration.
Following the manufacturing stage, fountain pipelines, nozzles and related equipment were installed according to the project design.
Electrical installation and control system integration were also essential to the project. The control cabinets were assembled and connected to support the coordinated operation of fountain equipment, lighting and programmed water effects.
After installation, the technical team carried out system testing, commissioning and show programming to ensure that the different fountain components operated together as an integrated interactive waterscape.

Following its completion, the Central Hail District Fountain has become a prominent attraction in Hail's renewed urban center. At the official opening ceremony on October 28, 2026, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region, and senior officials, the development was recognized as an important milestone in the city's urban transformation.
Hail Region Mayor Eng. Sultan bin Hamid Al-Zaydi highlighted the project's contribution to improving quality of life and creating greener, more accessible public spaces. Supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the development combines recreational facilities, landscaped areas and an approximately 12,000 m² interactive fountain area.
With dynamic water effects and colorful lighting, the fountain adds a distinctive waterscape attraction, encouraging community engagement and enhancing Hail's appeal as a destination for residents and visitors.
